As the world prepares for the next-gen iPhone, rumoured to be as close as October 4th, the talk's turning to what Appley goodness it's going to come loaded with.
The likelihood is that a few hardware tweaks such as an upgraded 1GB of RAM and a dual-core A5 processor will facilitate the headline feature - iOS Assistant. While Assistant is software based, don't expect to see it rolled back onto existing hardware - they haven't got the necessary processing power. We can't promise there'll be none of that shouting "call Steve!" while Assistant accustoms itself to your strong provincial brogue. But like the rest of the world, we can't wait to try it.
